3 hour course. Participants will be able to:
-Demonstrate knowledge of how developmental stages impact student physically, emotionally, academically & socially
-Identify risk factors that may impact student learning & development physically, emotionally, and socially
-Identify strategies to assist in the development of student's sense of social & community responsibility
-Identify & understand district safety, emergency & lockdown procedures
-Describe the paraeducator's role in basic health & safety procedures for both emergency & general application
-Demonstrate application of health & safety procedures if required for immediate student support
